Jon Blome has been appointed District Emergency Coordinator (DEC) for District 2, succeeding Marc Breckenridge. Marc has retired from the position to make time for his continued work in training and supporting public safety. He also continues in his work in the National Traffic System (NTS) and his role as net manager for the FEMA Region 5 AUXCOMM Voice net.
John NX0H and his wife moved from Colorado to Michigan in 2022, and is no stranger to emergency communications and public safety. He has served as Deputy DEC for the 7-county metro Denver area, assistant state emergency coordinator (SEC), and as SEC in Colorado. He has also served as Colorado AUXCOMM Manager and AUXCOMM Unit Coordinator. John is currently engaged with the Washtenaw County team, and continues to serve as a member of the National Wildfire Coordination Group as radio operator, incident communications center manager (t), communications technician (t), and firefighter—type II.
