National Traffic System (NTS)

The National Traffic System (NTS) is a structure that allows for rapid movement of traffic from origin to destination and training amateur operators to handle written traffic and participate in directed nets. These two objectives, which sometimes conflict with each other, are the underlying foundations of the NTS.

  • New Net Manager for GLETN

    Mike Shirey KD8ZCM has graciously accepted the appointment recently for the Great Lakes Emergency Traffic Net. This net, which meets 7 days a week at 2000 Eastern on 3.932 MHz, is one of the longest running traffic nets in Michigan, dating back to the mid 1950s. Thank you Mike, for helping out!
