- Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES)
- National Traffic System (NTS)
- Volunteers who are credentialed to operate in Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES)
- Volunteers trained as weather spotters in the National Weather Service SKYWARN program
