AUXCOMM Work Group

The Auxiliary Communications (AUXCOMM) Work Group is chartered by the Michigan Public Safety Communications Interoperability Board and reports to that board. Member groups participating in the work group include:

Our Mission Statement

The AUXCOMM Work Group coordinates the awareness, development, training, and implementation of AUXCOMM to support public safety agencies throughout Michigan.

A few items to help AUXC trainees on their journey to recognition:

  • The COMU position guideline—which includes the state recognition application—as well as the latest version of the position task book are available at the COMU work group page and AUXCOMM work group page on the State of Michigan web site.
  • You can sign up to join a mentoring group to share ideas on how to go about completing the PTB, pitfalls to avoid, and share success stories.
  • Get to know your state-recognized COML and a state-recognized AUXC near you. Making the contact is a step toward gaining their assistance in evaluation of tasks for your PTB. Note: you must be logged in to view these lists.
