Following is a summary of volunteer hours by type of activity. Data is available from 2009 to the present. A dashboard view is also available, courtesy of the Emergency Management & Homeland Security Division of the Michigan State Police.

Contributed value is based on a standardized national hourly rate. The source of this rate is the Independent Sector which uses Bureau of Labor Statistics data and is revised annually. The current rate and methodology can be found at the Independent Sector web site.
